This model is Sun Star's version of the Lotus Elise GT1, produced in 1997. Lotus was competing in the FIA GT1 championship and decided to build a new car for the 1997 season that was powerful enough to compete with other GT1 cars such as the Porsche 911 GT1 and the McLaren F`1. They also made a road version which was fitted with a watercooled 3.5 litre Lotus Type 918 V* engine with Garrett twin turbochargers with a power output of 550 horsepower. This model is finished in black and has a rear spoiler fitted. It is in as new condition and comes complete with the original box and packing. It is from a large collection from a non-smoking household. It is a rare, hard to find item.
